Kwuan Boon has been active in the Arts administration scene since 2015 and was scouted to join The TENG Ensemble Ltd (“TENG”) in 2016 as a company manager. Besides the execution of day-to-day administrative and finance operations, Kwuan Boon played a pivotal role in the development and evolution of operations and systemic processes in the early days of TENG. This includes creating and tracking the entire company’s budget and cashflows, performing monthly bank reconciliations, standardising process flows for procurements, payments, receipts and collections. His scope of work also encompasses Human Resource (“HR”) matters, such as drafting of employment contracts, management of staff payroll and annual leave, as well as Governance-related scope such as internal controls and compliances as a local charity, management of all company’s policy documents, and all matters of the Board. Kwuan Boon was also the main-in-charge and key liaison person for TENG for all accounting and audit-related matters since 2017.

As a strong believer in embracing technology and being at the forefront of innovations, Kwuan Boon singlehandedly digitalised the entire company’s documents back in 2017 and continuously maintained an online library of documents via Dropbox all these while. As a result, TENG was able to pivot to working from home almost instantaneously without much disruptions when COVID-19 hit.
